iPAQ H3900 ActiveSync Backup File Restoration Utility for HP iPAQ Pocket PC h3950 Type: Software - Solutions This utility allows the user to restore an ActiveSync backup file on an iPAQ H3900 with an ActiveSync backup that was made from a unit with a different processor revision.­ Use this SoftPaq if you are unable to do a restore when you get your unit back from service.­ The error message this corrects is: "The restore could not be completed successfully because the selected backup was created from a different type of model.­" The current versions of Activesync (3.­1,­ 3.­5,­ and 3.­6) detect changes in the processor revision and prevent the restore.­ This utility modifies your existing ActiveSync backup file to be compatible with either a B1 or B2 processor revision.­ To change your current ActiveSync backup file,­ You first need to determine the processor revision on your replacement unit.­ To do this tap on Start,­ Settings,­ System,­ Asset Viewer,­ System,­ and look at the Processor Revision.­ (Example: If the processor revision is a B2,­ then choose "Change to B2 backup" when prompted.­)
