ScanJet 6200C/­Cse/­Cxi/­6250C/­Cse/­Cxi OCR Update driver for HP Scanjet 6200cxi HP ScanJet 6200C/­6250C Families OCR Update When using Precision Scan Pro with either a 6200C family or a 6250C family scanner and the integrated Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine,­ a problem may occur when saving a document as a text file.­ The following conditions may cause the problem: Specify "text" as the Output Type,­ scan the document,­ and save it as a text file (.­txt).­ Specify "text" as the Output Type,­ scan the document,­ and copy and paste it into another application.­ After the OCR is done and the image is saved as a text file (.­txt),­ the last word of each line and the first word of the following line of the original document are merged together without a space.­ This problem occurs only when using the integrated Precision Scan Pro OCR engine (not when using Caere OmniPage Pro or any other 3rd party OCR software).­ Manual Installation Instructions: Choose the file you want to download to your system.­ With your mouse,­ click on the file.­ You will now be prompted to select the folder (sub-directory) where the download will be placed on your hard disk.­ (Example: If you wanted to download to your C:TEMP you would select that folder from the list of folders in the download "Save As" screen).­ Now open the C:Temp folder (if that was your selected folder),­ and double-click on the file you downloaded.­ This file will decompress into a default folder c:sj395ocr,­ or any folder of your choice.­ You will find the SETUP.­EXE file in the c:sj395ocr folder,­ or the folder that you chose.­ Double-click the SETUP.­EXE file to activate the software installation.­ Compatible devices: C6273A
